1 cup green peas (matar),fresh or frozen
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon FOIS cumin seeds
1 teaspoon FOIS coriander powder
1 teaspoon FOIS turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon FOIS red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon FOIS garam masala powder
1/4 cup tomato puree
1/4 cup yogurt
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup water
Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few
    seconds.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it turns translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until they release their moisture and
    become tender.
  5. Add the green peas and stir well.
  6. Add the FOIS coriander powder, FOIS turmeric powder, FOIS red chili powder, and salt to taste.

  9. Add 1/2 cup water and bring the curry to a boil.
  10. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan and let the curry simmer for 5-7 minutes until the peas
    and mushrooms are fully cooked.
  11. Sprinkle FOIS garam masala powder and mix well.
  12. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
